Discounts are a fantastic way to attract new clients and reward loyal customers. In this guide, you'll learn how to create discount codes you can apply at checkout or clients can use when booking online.

How to create a discount code

Follow these steps to add a new discount code to your account:

  1. Click the +New button at the top of the navigation menu.

  2. Click Discount.

  3. Enter a Discount name. This name is for your reference only and is not visible to customers.

  4. Enter a Discount code. Customers must enter this code at checkout.

  5. Under Amount off, select a fixed $ amount or percentage and enter the amount.

  6. Check the boxes to apply specific settings to the discount (optional):

    • Limit total number of uses limits the total number of times the discount can be used across all your customers.

    • Set end date dictates when the discount code expires. You can edit this date later if you'd like to reactivate the discount code.

    • Set a minimum cart total determines the minimum amount a customer must spend in one transaction to qualify for the discount.

  7. Under Status, select Active or Inactive. With this convenient option, you can set up seasonal or holiday discounts, activate them for whatever period of time you desire, then deactivate them but store them in your account for reuse later.

  8. Click Save.

You can apply a discount during the checkout process:

  1. At checkout, click the action button.

  2. Select Add discount.

  3. Select a discount to apply. You can select more than one discount.

  4. Click Apply.

How to edit a discount code

Follow these steps to edit a discount code:

  1. Click Settings in the navigation menu.

  2. Click Discounts.

  3. Click the discount you want to edit.

  4. Make the desired changes.

  5. Click Save.
