Service charges are customizable fees designed to cover added costs, such as increased product usage during a service. You can configure them as fixed amounts or percentages and apply them at checkout.
How to set up service charges
Follow these steps to add a new service charge to your account:
Click Settings in the navigation menu.
Click Service charges.
Click the +New service charge button.
Enter a name for the service charge.
Select an amount type (a fixed $ amount or percentage).
Enter the amount or percentage.
Click Save.
How to apply a service charge at checkout
You can apply a service charge during the checkout process:
At checkout, click the ⋮ action button.
Select Add service charge.
Select a service charge to apply. You can only select one service charge per transaction.
Click Apply.
How to edit a service charge
Follow these steps to edit a service charge:
Click Settings in the navigation menu.
Click Service charges.
Click the service charge you want to edit
Make your changes to the details
Click Save.
How to delete a service charge
Follow these steps to delete a service charge from your account:
Click Settings in the navigation menu.
Click Service charges.
Click the +New service charge button.
Enter a name for the service charge.
Select an amount type (a fixed $ amount or percentage).
Enter the amount or percentage.
Click Save.
