Talo may ask you to upload certain documents so your Talo Payments account can be verified. Your photo ID is used to confirm that the person or business listed on your Talo Payments account matches the owner of the bank account receiving payouts.
Important:
All documents* must be issued in the same country you select as your business location. (*For business accounts, your ID can be issued from any country supported by Talo Payments.)
Photo ID
Your ID must follow these requirements:
Accepted forms include a passport, driver’s license, or government-issued ID card.
The ID must be valid and not expired.
It must be in color.
All 4 edges and corners must be visible.
No information should be covered or blacked out.
The ID must be straight and upright (not rotated or angled).
It must not be blurry, overly bright, or taken from a screenshot.
The full name in your Talo Payments account must match the name on the ID.
Your date of birth must match.
For passports with a machine-readable zone (MRZ), the MRZ must be shown.
For driver’s licenses and ID cards, upload front and back as separate files.
File types allowed: HEIC, JPEG, JPG, PDF, PNG.
Max size: 10 MB.
Minimum size: 1 KB for PDFs, 100 KB for other formats.
Address
The type of address document depends on the kind of account you’re setting up. If you’re an individual using your home as your business address, you can provide documents tied to your residential address.
If your business has a registered address, the document must match the official registration address.
Residential address
For personal accounts, you can verify your address with one of the following:
Driver’s license (front and back; only if not used as your ID)
Work permit
Study permit
Provincial/territorial ID card (not Health cards; front and back required)
Insurance document
Investment account statement
Property tax bill
Bank statement
Utility bill (issued within the last 3 months)
Users in Canada must submit separate documents for identity and address.
Registered address
If your business has a registered address, the document must come from an official government or tax authority. It must match the business address listed in your Talo Payments account.
Examples include:
Documents from national tax offices
Articles of incorporation/association

All address documents must:
Be clear and readable
Be issued within the last 3 months
Show at least one complete page
Be in HEIC, JPEG, JPG, PDF, or PNG
Show the full legal name that matches your Talo Payments account
Bank details
You can verify your bank information with one of the following:
Bank statement
Voided check
Official bank letter
Bank statement requirements:
Must be in color
Bank logo must be visible
Full account number must appear
Issued within the last 12 months
For personal accounts: the name must match the Talo Payments account owner
For business accounts: the business name must match your legal business documents and the name shown in the Talo Payments dashboard

Your business document must:
Clearly show the tax ID or registration number

Company director documents
Canadian corporations may need to upload a document listing their directors. Acceptable documents include:
Government document listing the entity and directors
Corporate profile report
Articles of incorporation/association
Notice of Articles
Resolution for account opening
Notice of change of directors (Forms 6, 4006, 3006)
Board meeting minutes/resolution (within the last 12 months)
These documents must:
Clearly show the legal entity name matching your Talo Payments account
Show all director/shareholder/beneficial owner names and roles exactly as listed in your Talo Payments account
Show all borders and corners
Match names exactly
Be one step from the original (direct PDF scan or original photo only)
Not be screenshots
Color photos only
Not be low quality
Not be expired
Be complete and uncropped
